Carrie opened the door to the gnome garden and froze. It was empty. Who the hell is stealing all the gnomes, she thought. It can’t be kids again, surely. Closing the door behind her she headed for the office to check the CCTV. As she pressed rewind on camera feed, she heard the external door slam. I’m sure I shut that. She shook her head and frowned. She’d been so forgetful recently. Things never seemed to stay where she thought she’d left them. Pressing play, she reached for the tin of ginger biscuits. Behind her, the door swung silently open…
